Today the DEA announced extensions of all telehealth flexibilities, including exception to any requirements for in-person care, until the end of 2024.
This is great news, as it allows us to continue practicing with our preferred method and protocols while continuing to work with the DEA over the next year to come up with permanent common-sense regulations that don’t restrict access to life-saving care for those who need it most.
We are thankful that the DEA is listening to companies and providers in the telemedicine space, including our own Dr. James Ulager, who recently represented PursueCare at the DEA Telemedicine Listening Session, speaking passionately about the value of virtual addiction treatment.
